A deposit of $100 is required to reserve a kid from our herd. A $200 deposit is required for kids priced at $800 or greater. When reserving a kid, please include both a first and second choice if possible, in the event that your first selection isn’t available. A reservation is not made until we receive your deposit. Unless a kid has been pre-ordered with a deposit, prices are subject to change. We strive to raise quality Nubians that excel not only in milk production but also in the show ring.
This means that we occasionally need to retain kids in order to further meet the goals we have for our breeding program. As such, we reserve the right to keep any kid that we feel is necessary for our breeding program even if you place a deposit. If a kid is not born that you have placed a deposit on or we decide it is needed for our breeding program, your deposit will be cheerfully refunded. Sometimes, we will offer a kid of another breeding, but you will not be obligated to accept it.
We can not make any guarantee on coat color, coat pattern or future show wins with kids. No refunds are given for cancelled sales or reservations. Payment may be made in the form of check or money order made payable to Brenda Goff or through Paypal. The full balance owed is due within 10 days of notification of the kid’s birth. All payments must be cleared before the kid can be picked up. If payment is not made within this time period or other arrangements haven’t been made, the kid may be offered to another buyer and the deposit and any additional money paid forfeited. All kids should be picked up at 3 weeks of age unless other arrangements have been made by us. If reserved kids are not picked up by this time, the buyer is subject to an additional $50 per week boarding charge. **Prices are subject to change as kids get older and with new show season placings and Linear Appraisal scores. Your deposit guarantees the price quoted you at the time this contract is executed, if we choose to sell the kid.
We love for buyers to pick up their new kids here at our farm, however, we realize that this isn’t an option for those who live great distances away. Therefore, we do offer shipping by air. All shipping costs are to be paid by the buyer (air freight charges, crate), as well as the cost of any testing, legally required health certificate and related veterinary fees required for interstate shipment. The seller will obtain estimates of the shipping costs from the freight carrier, based on destination of shipping, size of the animal and crate, and will obtain estimate of costs for required veterinary services required for shipment. These costs must be paid in full by the buyer and received by the seller within 7 days of the scheduled shipment or pickup date or the contract is voided and the deposit and purchase price forfeited.
Additionally, we usually offer a couple of milkers for sale in the spring. A $100 deposit will put your name on the list for a milker and will be applied to the cost of the doe. This deposit will hold the milker for 14 days after notification that she is available for purchase.
By making a reservation with a deposit, you accept the Terms of Sale in it’s entirety.
